Logging and Harvesting

Logging provides primary material for sawmills and other solid wood manufacturing sectors as well as the pulp and paper Industry. Logging takes place on timberland, which is land, covered by productive forests capable of producing 1.38 cubic meters per hectare (or 20 cubic feet per acre) of industrial wood annually and not legally reserved from timber harvest. Products and activities include: Cutting timber, log harvesting, pulpwood harvesting, poles, pilings, and tree chipping.
